Wicked-Cool Illuminated Bar Counter

Sit tight if you operate bars or have a bar counter at home. This really cool piece of gadget called iBar consists of a video projector and an intelligent tracking system. It detects any object on or hovering above the tracking panel and illuminates the position with pretty patterns.

For example, placing a wine glass on the counter creates a circle around its base. Having two or more glasses near each other will create lines connecting each one of them. And hovering your hand directly above the counter results in a patch of beautiful soft glowing light. I’m sure it’s a great way to add character to your bar.

It even works with any existing bar counter that you have. Pricing is not revealed on their website at the moment. So if your interest is piqued, hop on over to their contact form and shoot them an inquiry.

Pictures speak a thousand words. Videos speak a million. Check it out

Scoop Free Automatic Cat Litter Box

61650.jpg

If you’re a cat owner but you’re too lazy to empty the litter box very often, there’s no more reason to have a smelly house! The Scoop Free Automatic Cat Litter Box is the gadget way of maintaining a clean litter box for your cat with minimal work!

With this amazing gadget you can leave your cat’s litter box for up to 30 days with no maintenance whatsoever. When the cat leaves the littler box the litter box sets a countdown to automatically sift out all the waste into a separate litter cartridge. It’s all done very quietly as well so you don’t get woken up in the middle of the night by the litter box.

You don’t even have to deal with the cartridge for 30 days either as it has special crystals in it which absorb all moisture and odour! The cartridge is also disposable so when you need to get rid of it you simply remove it and throw it away. The new cartridge is easily plugged into the side of the litter box.

Just in case your cat has to go back into the litter box soon after, it won’t begin to rake the litter until 20 minutes after the cat has left giving the special litter a chance to absorb moisture so mostly dry waste is stored in the cartridge.

This mess-saving gadget is available for $129.99 from Smart Home. Also available are extra cartridges, again from Smart Home.

Motion-sensing Light Bulb Fixtures

2512.jpg

This is a very easy and affordable way to have motion-sensing lights in your house which make life easier and would probably impress guests as well ;) .

It’s a very simple system to use as the motion sensor attaches directly to the light bulb. To set it up all you have to do is screw the motion-sensor into the light socket, then plug the light bulb into the motion sensor! You then don’t need to control the lights with light switches anymore as the fixture does it for you!

The sensor is very well designed and appears just like a normal fixture. It features a full 360° field-of-view so no matter where you enter the room from you should be automatically greeted by light. It also has a 12′ range so it could cover most sized rooms. The light then stays on for 4 minutes after it detects the last motion.

The system is very versatile as it can support bulbs anywhere from 25W to 100W. It also doesn’t take up much space measuring 3″ by 4″.

This neat fixture is available for just $29.74 from Smart Home.

The world’s second largest automaker Toyota has quite a few things to be proud about. While the company’s best sellers mainly the Corolla and Camry may bring out a yawn or two from passers by at auto shows, the Japanese automaker still has some surprise at the British Motor Show later this month. Toyota has got a couple of concepts that will have show people gawking for hours. There is the Aygo in the Sports segment which features wooden floors and space reserved for surfboards. For those who love the music in their cars, Toyota has the Aygo DJ concept that has “built-in music decks and powerful speakers” and is designed for the most perfect bash in your car

We all know that Hello Kitty has a huge fan following across Asia where you get MP3 players, speakers, USB drives and all sorts of stuff with the adorable Kitty. Buddy on Demand – oh my god

Buddy-inflating-FINAL_upl.jpg

He is the new man on demand to make women drivers feel safer on the road. He puffs out at the flick of a switch. And if your real-life beau decides to come driving with you, simply pull the plug and pop him back in your glove box. Sheilas’ Wheels, the female-friendly car insurance brand has created the ‘Buddy on Demand’, a blow up man that inflates at the flick of a switch. This inflated buddy can reduce the fear associated with driving alone. It is an ingenious idea and hopefully will go some way to make women feel safer behind the wheel. It is designed to help women deter road-rage attacks, car jacking and intimidating behavior by other motorists especially at night by giving the appearance of two silhouettes in the front of the car, instead of a single, female figure behind the wheel.

According to research, 82 percent of women feel safer with someone sitting in the car beside them and nearly a half don’t like driving alone in the dark. Although an inflatable man is not the only answer but it will positively give women extra confidence and make journeys in the dark less fearful.

UV-Detecting Bikini By SoleStorm

dfjgd.jpg

Well friends, maybe the image above reminds you somehow of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider. Well, it’s more than a bikini. Swimwear designer, SoleStorm, has announced the UV-detecting bikini with an LCD screen on it to display the level of UV intensity. The $190 bikini will also lower the chances of skin cancer as one of the foremost reason for skin cancer is continuous exposure to UV rays.

Garassa, the spokesperson, SoleStorm said that the meter on the bikini displays a level of UV intensity on a scale from 0 to 20. A person’s sensitivity to UV depends mainly on skin type, but generally, three to five would be considered moderate strength, 8-10 very high and anything above 11 extreme.

Girls, you don’t need to compromise with those stylish bikinis available in the market as many eyes would be watching you while you stroll on the beach, thanks to the stylish design of UV-bikini.

LumiWall: Solar Glass That Emits Light At Night

gfjgmh.jpg

I really appreciate the Sharp’s LumiWall, a roof that is shaded glass in the daytime and transforms into an illuminated array of white at night. The concept behind LumiWall is that it stores solar energy in the daytime and works as a lighting system at night.

However, the thing that makes me scratch my head is that half of the light will be emitted outside and that would be the main drawback. Moreover, you cannot illuminate the whole house with this concept. Sharp should come out with a more creative view with the designing part. Atleast, they should find a solution for the light to be emitted in a single direction.

Still, I think the idea is pretty cool except few shortcomings.

AddMirror: Ads in Bathroom Mirrors Are Coming? damm

ad_mirror.jpg

The last bastion of privacy and repose is slowly being eroded, where first we heard about advertisements over urinals, and now enterprising ideapeople at Addirect have figured out how to hide ads behind mirrors. The company plans to roll out AddMirror around the world starting this month, which it test marketed in 300 fancy-schmancy bars and nightclubs in London.

But will people object? Addirect says no, but never mind that—most importantly, the company claims a 63% recall rate of the advertisements shown in the AddMirrors. That’s a remarkable number, considering that even Super Bowl ads get just a fraction of that recall rate.

Addirect is currently setting up a media network, where local companies will actually do the work of installing these screens behind one-way mirrors, and then these adverts can be distributed on a local, regional, national or global basis. Enjoy your solitude while you can.
